Family Faith Formation at St. Teresa Benedicta of the Cross --
All are Welcome
The family is the first place where the Gospel is shared, lived, and loved. As parents, you have the unique privilege and responsibility of being the primary catechists of your children. The Church calls the home the Domestic Church because the faith you live each day within your family is holy and life-giving.
Family Faith Formation at St. Teresa Benedicta of the Cross is designed to fit today's busy family schedules while providing meaningful opportunities to grow together in faith. The program is completely FREE for all Dearborn County Catholic families.
Families gather twice each month:
-
One Sunday morning featuring donuts and fellowship, opening prayer, a parent session, and grade-level faith formation for children led by catechists.
-
One Wednesday evening where families come together for a themed lesson or hands-on activity, with additional opportunities for parents to discuss practical ways to bring the Catholic faith into everyday family life.
-
Lessons and conversation then naturally flow into your homelife, bringing your domestic church alive!
The curriculum is for grades K-5 and follows a five-year cycle; this year's focus is the Theology of the Body. Babysitting is provided for families with younger children.
A separate faith formation class is also offered for middle school students (grades 6–8) during the same dates and times. This class allows middle schoolers to gather for age-appropriate catechesis and prayer while building holy friendships.
Come discover how your family can grow together in faith, friendship, and community as we journey toward Christ. Click HERE to register or email kimsprague@dccatholics.com.
